Our 24th @ USS!

Daniel turns 24 today and instead of me surprising him, he surprises me with a trip to USS! :D

Seeing the queues at the rides, I'm so glad he bought us these 'express passes'!
Really great for us to skip the queuing :P

We visited the differently themed 'lands'.

We took A LOT OF photos! :)

With loadsa silly poses too! ;)

These are my favourite from amongst the silly poses :P

Not forgetting the different characters we took photos with! :D

We did dinner with Dan's primary school khakis at Outram, then sang K to end the day.

They surprised us with a cake too :)

It's not quite "sailorve"'s birthday yet, but we get what they mean ;)

What did I get him for his birthday?

A Braun Buffel Wallet and a Braun Shaver.
Not my first time buying them for my boyfriend, but it's different this time round and Daniel knows why ;)

Happy birthday ah b!!

Oh yes...

The USS looks like a great site for our wedding shoot! ;)

Yes 'Romeo', I'm looking forward to 10.11.12!! :D

Meeting my family and his friends! :)

Daniel had dim sum brunch with my family and grandparents late this morning.
It was a good brunch, and what made things better this time round was the company - the people I love most (and who love me too) were there :D

We dropped Grandma, Mum and Sis off at Paragon before heading to Plaza Singapura to check out Couple Lab.
We took a fancy for this pair of rings :)

The caption to the above photo reads, "A ring is round and has no end! ;)" on Facebook.

As we had time to spare, we went to Love & Co. to check out wedding bands and proposal rings; my first choice for proposal ring is from Tiffany & Co., and he knows the design I like! ;)
Anyhow, it's so exciting to plan for the future!! :D

We then watched Kung Fu Panda 2 :)
I love that he loves watching movies too :)

We then met his poly mates for dinner at Outram, before heading to Mind Cafe for games.

'Ugly doll' was an epic start to the evening there! :)

Once again, we made faces and had 4 consecutive spastic shots taken.

And I just realised that our actions were pretty similar in the photos, we really think alike... ;)

We finally headed home to rest for a power-packed Sunday ;)

I ♥ 2B! ;)

My weekend was an awesome one!
Met up with “老人帮” for a 'senseless' night on Saturday.

Sunday was lovely...
Baby Tibbit, softball, mahjong, Prince of Persia.
I heart such days! :)

Found it an awesome show, quite a number of take-aways - three, to be exact.

Blood ties are strong.
Sometimes though, greed weakens it.
Always be contented.

Everyone wants to go back to a certain point in their lives to fix their past.
Should that be possible, history would be changed, and could possibly be changed drastically.
But alas, no such time-reversing thang.

To hold on or to let go?
When you hold on to something too tightly and too dearly, you gradually but surely lose grip of it and all you're left with is nothing but a clenched fist.
And you're unhappy holding on.
When you let go, the whole world is in your hands.
And you get to change your destiny!
(Maybe even acquire a different insight on how to get what you were holding on to... ;) )

Yea, whatever will be, will be! :)

I'll leave y'all with this quote, which started and ended ze movie. :)
It is said that some lives are linked across time, connected by an ancient calling that echoes through ages. Destiny.

Catch-up session

Met up with Arthur, Baoyun and Eugene for dinner at Sushi Tei.

It was a good session of catching up over yummylicious jap food! :D

Uh... Yea, I didn't take a picture of my friends, despite the photos of food. :|
Shows how much of a foodie I am! Hee.

HTHT Dinner! :)

Met Yingxiang this evening.
Naw, not for yet another mark-mug session, but to catch up and some HTHT over dinner at 鼎泰丰! :D
It was a good dinner; believe we both felt rejuvenated and focused on what we are to do with our lives in the coming months. :)

I love such 'therapeutic' sessions! ;)

叶问2

I finally head out to town again! :)

Snapped cuz I liked the view. Heh. :P

Did dinner at Aston's before heading to catch 叶问2.
Again, no pictures of my food cuz my camera cable's down. :(
-makes mental note to replace cable-

Anyway...
It was really awesome!!! :D

I totally love how Donnie Yen didn't flinch no matter what came right in his face!
And he definitely doesn't look 47, so good-looking leh!!
-swoons-

All right Ms J, time to snap outta it and go to bed.
Marking to do tomorrow!
Good night world!

Oh, something Ip Man said in the movie struck me.
It was about how people can have different statuses but cannot have different integrity; and with that, everyone should respect each other regardless of country.
I personally was a bit put off by the British (in the show), how they portray themselves to be all superior than the Chinese and how they mock Chinese culture.
I guess the superiority somehow stays - like people somehow prefer the Caucasians to Chinese. :|
However, I believe people are also more tactful now. :)

I know there are some of you who have labelled yourselves according to the Singapore education system, and so look down on yourselves.
Remember what Ms Tay said in a few lessons.
Don't look down on yourselves.
We're all streamed so that we can learn comfortably at our own pace, we must not be hindered by what society thinks is what we can achieve.
How well we can do depends on how much we want the grades.
Hang in there, Ms Tay has faith in you all! ♥! :)

The rest of you who don't look down on yourselves, don't look down on others.
We have no right to judge, no one has.
Not even us teachers.
Let's instead all help each other to achieve greater success - help each other learn better, help me learn from you so I can teach better! :)

So a little something for everyone (not the exact quote though),
We have different statuses, but we all have the same dignity. Let's learn to respect each other from henceforth so we can live in harmony.

Marking & Mugging

I met Ying Xiang this afternoon - he was gonna mug and I'm gonna mark.
Naw, we didn't meet up just for that.
We met up to HTHT for a bit then do our work.
It was a good time of talking, following our phonecall. :)

Craving for Jap food again, we headed to Sushi Tei for dinner.

I love their chawanmushi!! :D

And their soft-shell crab temaki too!

Ying Xiang's cha shu ramen.

I dig their salmon cha soba!

Suspect we're gonna be doing such mugging and marking sessions soon! :D
