beachy start to 2012! ;)

Having the first long weekend of 2012, we brought Tibbit out to Sentosa to jumpstart the year on a beachy note! ;)

Here's the silly dog looking worriedly at the waves as they 'crashed' onto the sand:

That's Tibbit at the right, watching a group of frisbee players and their frisbee - he'd try to run or jump for it whenever it came near. =.=


Since our silly dog was getting a bit restless...

We left shortly after so Tibbit could have his dinner and rest at home.

We then met the Navy boys for dinner at Ma Maison at The Central:


It was my first time having escargot because I've always thought it to be disgusting, but well, I should try something new since it's a brand new year right?
And hey, Ma Maison did it pretty well! ;)

Kayaking Orientation Programme

Was at the MOE Changi Adventure Centre for a Kayaking Orientation Programme to get ready for an upcoming school trip with the Student Leaders.

I'm pretty excited about the trip which is happening 3rd to 7th June at the Paka River Camp! :)


And whee, I've got the sailor's navy shorts for company! ;)

I met some colleagues to chill out in the late afternoon; was supposed to meet them earlier but I was held up with some pending errands.
It was a good session, we needa do such sessions regularly to keep ourselves sane :)


I then met the sailor for dinner at Breko's nearby.

This was all I had cuz I was still quite full from lunch.

We headed to Timbre to meet some other friends to chill more.

Yay, it's another long weekend for me after all! ;)

follow-up

The sailor took me out for a dinner of Nasi Ayam Penyet at Lucky Plaza after the follow-up check for my eye.

We then watched 'Slumdog Millionaire' at e2max.
Mid-week break, I enjoyed :)

Belated Teachers' Day Dinner

We finally had our Teachers' Day Dinner today.



That's the only dish I managed to snap a photo of.
Not cuz I was a glutton and ate before I could take a photo, but because I was the emcee (together with G Kaur and B Lim).

And cuz I was emcee-ing, I didn't manage to cam-whore. :(

Oh, the Beginning Teachers (and new staff to QSS) did a dance.
Each of us got someone to join us in the dance.
AND, what made the night even better was that we managed to get everyone to do the dance as a closing! :)

YOG Torch Relay

This Friday the 13th is special for all Queenswayans:





Students and teacher alike lined the road outside school to welcome the YOG Torch as it passed by Margaret Drive.

Definitely an enjoyable once-in-a-lifetime experience! ;)

Bio Field Trip 1

That's the group of us BI/EL teachers at Labrador Nature Reserve for our 1st post-practicum bio field trip.
