Went outta watch Alice in Wonderland with a selected group of students late this afternoon.
It's their first trip out and with everyone from different classes, so they were all quite excited.
When we entered the theatre, a handful of them were calling out, "Ms Tay! ... Ms Tay! ... Ms Tay! ..." from around me.
Cuz I teach/taught 4 out of 5 Sec 1 Express classes and so most of the 23 students know me... =.=
Luckily for me, everyone settled down proper when the movie started. :)
I like such an experience/feeling and hope to do this again! :D
Wanted to go get the book but it's all sold out at Page One. :(
Walked around a bit and ended up in The Face Shop cuz I wanted to get eye gel.
I ended up with more than what I wanted to buy, but I'm a happy 'cher! :D
Just used the products - eye gel, toner, moisturiser - a while ago, I'm lovin' them!! :)
Some 'word play' (in bold) for you readers...
"...Come, we shall have some fun now! thought Alice. I’m glad they’ve begun asking riddles. I believe I can guess that, she added aloud.
Do you mean that you think you can find out the answer to it? said the March Hare.
Exactly so, said Alice.
Then you should say what you mean, the March Hare went on.
I do, Alice hastily replied; at least . . . at least I mean what I say . . . that’s the same thing, you know.
Not the same thing a bit! said the Hatter. You might just as well say that “I see what I eat.” is the same thing as “I eat what I see.”.
You might just as well say, added the March Hare, that “I like what I get.” is the same thing as “I get what I like.”.
You might just as well say, added the Dormouse, who seemed to be talking in his sleep, that “I breathe when I sleep.” is the same thing as “I sleep when I breathe.”!
It IS the same thing with you, said the Hatter, and here the conversation dropped, and the party sat silent for a minute, while Alice thought over all she could remember about ravens and writing-desks, which wasn’t much..."
So...
Is "I see what I eat" the same as "I eat what I see"?
And is "I like what I get" the same as "I get what I like"?
And is "I breathe when I sleep" the same as "I sleep when I breathe"?
