wide sea, small boat

I was reading 'A Cup of Comfort - Book of Prayer' this morning during morning assembly and some things struck me.

"Dear God, be good to me, the sea is so wide, and my boat is so small." - Breton Fisherman's Prayer

I'm really thankful for how God has helped Daniel and I progress in our relationship with each other and how we are progressing in our preparation for marriage. :)
We have the community behind us - our close friends, our family, our church. We have been getting contacts and referrals/recommendations for photographers, videographers, bridal gowns, venues.
I see our wedding as the sea - we have so many things we want to do, and our boat - our finances - is so small and we feel limited. :|
However, God will be good to us and I'm sure with our boat, we will cover the sea! ;)

I rejoice that He planted the seeds for His purposes in our lives.
We will continue to pray that God will speak to us as we continue with our 'work'; pray for us too :)

"He cares about the dreams of all who fear Him and works them out in their lives according to His will. He fulfills every promise, and His mercy endures forever." - Marion E. Gorman

Daniel, God did not promise us an easy journey, but He promised us each other, and as we walk with Him as a couple, He will bring us through from now to 10.11.12 and through the rest of our lives together! ;)
