Signatures

After brunch, we went for Easter Sunday Service at Hope.

Service opened with this song too

:)

Anyway...
Sermon today wasn't like City Harvest's which had a 'play'; we watched an in-house video production about 'Signatures' and gaining acceptance.

(1) We all yearn for acceptance.
Everyone desires acceptance in our lives.
We're all 'hand-made' and special, hence we desire to be accepted.

(2) Acceptance comes with a price.
Think marriage proposal - both parties are paying the price of giving up freedom and trusting spouse with his/her future.
It is easier to accept a stranger than to accept 'family' - you know your family's weaknesses and flaws too well.

(3) Men falter at accepting others.
Men tend to focus on weaknesses and flaws, but God always finds possibilities.
He looks at things differently.
Everyone is God's favourite, He has a biiiiiiig heart! :D
Jesus paid the price for our acceptance.

Ever wondered how the word 'excruciating' was coined?
I am very thankful for Easter Sunday :)
