Watched 'Up In The Air' this evening.
A question that was brought up over and over again in the show was, "What's in Your Backpack?".
Imagine you have a backpack, in it you have to fit everything you own...
Your house, car, laptop, wardrobe... ... ... photos...
That's pretty heavy a backpack right?
Carry that and walk.
Can you feel the strap cutting into your shoulders?
What if I set the place on fire and you need to run?
What do you take out so you run faster?
Now again, imagine you have a backpack...
In it you have to fit everybody you've known in your life.
Acquaintainces, colleagues, friends, close friends, best friends, family, other halves.
And again, it's pretty heavy a backpack.
Carry that and walk.
Can you feel the strap cutting into your shoulders?
Naw, not gonna get the place on fire so you need to run again.
Would you take anybody out if you have a choice?
Would taking this person out change the course of your life?
That's the thing about relationships - every relationship you have with people change and mould you into who you are now...
Taking away anyone would change the entire course of life - it could be yours, it could be the other person's.
Yes, no matter how big or small an encounter you had with that person.
Ah well, 'nuff thinking.
Enjoy the trailer!
