“Do schools kill creativity?” - Sir Ken Robinson

Some things I caught in his very fast speech. (Albeit rewinding many times just to catch'em. Oh well...)

“Creativity now is as important in education as literacy, and we should treat it with the same status."

"We are educating people out of their creative capacities."

"In the next 30 years, according to UNESCO, more people worldwide will be graduating through education than in the entire history. Suddenly, degrees aren't worth anything. When I was a student, if you have a degree, you have a job. If you didn't have a job, it is because you did not want one. But now, kids with a degree are often heading back home to carry on playing video games whereas now you need an MA when previously, you need a BA - A case of degree inflation."

So, what do you think?
I think schools are killing creativity, I hope I don't (in future, that is). :)
